Tropical Hideaway has been undergoing significant improvements this year, including refurbishment of both pools and the beach, re-surfacing two of our Tennis Courts, adding new laundry equipment and improving the landscaping. Additional improvements are planned for 2006. So, if you haven't been out in a while, be sure and come to see us soon. Spend a long weekend or a full week and enjoy springtime! February News: In February, the previous owners of the marina, conference center, Tiki Village restaurant and bar, located adjacent to Tropical Hideaway's property, sold these businesses to new owners, who are land developers. We will keep you posted as to their plans. But, it's our understanding that due to the tired condition of these buildings, they will be venturing something new.

If you previously requested accommodations for 2006 at Tropical Hideaway, please note:

The former "rental pool" which was operated by the previous marina, restaurant/bar and conference center owners, has been dissolved in the sale.

If you have requested space for 2006, please e-mail us immediately, as it will be necessary to reconfirm all future bookings made previously.

Out of eagerness to take Tropical Hideaway rentals to the next level in areas of online reservation capabilities, traditional and web-based marketing and enhanced service to both owners and guests, the Tropical Hideaway Vacation Homeowners have taken control of future rental services. A new entity, Vacation Rental Services, acting as the owners' representatives has been formed.

In January, 2006, the Tropical Hideaway Rental Homeowners formed a new rental services committee to work wiith Vacation Rental Services owners, Roy Hedges and Keith Rogers, in this new endeavor. Roy and Keith are currently serving second terms on the Tropical Hideaway Owners Association Board and share a strong desire to continue improving the property for all owners. Roy, and his wife, Sheila will be overseeing guest services on site. Keith and his wife, Susie will be overseeing reservations, including future online capabilities, owner accounting, advertising and marketing.

Even though the Tiki Village Bar & Restaurant, located adjacent to Tropical Hideaway Vacation Condos for many years have been sold to new owners who have decided to close these facilities, the good news is our 1 and 2 Bedroom condominiums come with fully furnished kitchens. So, kick back, relax, save money and cook in at your "home away from home" on beautiful Lake LBJ! Enjoy a drink or dinner on one of our decks that overlooks the lake. Picnic on the grounds or enjoy dinner on the beach as the sun sets over the Highland Lakes. Or, visit some of the great restaurants and night spots with live music in nearby Marble Falls!
